Last entry of April

Goodbye, April. See you next year.

C'mon!

My shovel....really!??!

I suppose I should just be happy *they* didn't take the wheelbarrow.

Happy belated barfday to me

Yesterday was my birthday, and Flop - sweet, silent, fluffy, adorable, timid, skittish Flop - bestowed upon me a wonderful birthday present.  Her morning puke was watery and NOT on the rug!  Yup, both little puddles were located on the hardwood!!!

Hooray!  Thank you, Flop....best gift ever!

She made up for it in spades this morning, though.

A no-warning, instantaneous, steamy pile of stomach contents delivered directly into (and on top of) my clean white Keds....and on the textured door mat. A gloopy pile of ook that Hobbes is now trying to sniff out.

There goes breakfast!

I guess I know who may be hungry in a little while.

Sheesh.

And in other news:

Apparently JAF can't handle the truth, and Jacqueline has decided to vindictively cut from my schedule - and lie about the - classes I was scheduled for, giving them to another instructor.

Yes, Jackie, that's right.  I am talking about you, n o w.

My earlier posts were re: your employer - not you, - and we both (all) know what I posted is the truth.  The wages paid contracted instructors (who are not Wilton-based) is disgustingly low, especially given the litany of issues instructors put up with all along the way.

Your behavior in redistributing my classes, however - and lying about them all being cancelled, v the truth (most recently the apron class for 4/18 & 4/25), is really childish, petty, and apparently exactly as underhanded as one could expect all dealings at JAF would be.

Not cool.  SO not cool.

How about some sort of mediation to find a monetary solution to the JAF cheapness instead of the sneaky dirty dealing.

Yeah.........

I couldn't figure out how to make the Google Earth Day thingy work.

Harumph [and grumbly noises of disgust and irkedness]

Now comes the waiting game

He's had the interview and now must wait for the call back.

Ah, well.  Happy thoughts and muttered prayers.

Out the door

He's been gone about 15 minutes or so, and I am trying not to wring my hands.

Bud is off to another interview - I wish he had a canoe to get there with all of this rain!

Be careful.  Be confident.  Believe!

Rain

Day 4.

I think it's fairly safe to say (and believe) that things are thawed out now (garden- and lawn-wise).  Yesterday's rainy deluge had the driveway covered with worms. What a waste!

Red sky in morning...

Yep, I'm sure we've all heard it -
  Red sky at night, sailor's delight.
  Red sky in morning [ominous musical notes]....

This morning the sky was decidedly pink.  Pink, verging on...well, verging on more pink, I suppose.

However, it's already a much brighter day than yesterday.  MUCH.  But those clouds...

Those clouds were the pinkiness in the sky and not actually the sky.  So, if it had been "red," or....red-er, should I be battening down the hatches?  Is pink really the red they refer to in that homily, or is pink OK?

Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see, won't we.  Umbrella, anyone?

Moving on

Every day that rolls by the earth turns;
we age another twenty-four hours;
vegetation grows;
rain forests fall;
humans force another species of God into extinction;
droughts wreak havoc;
floods consume homes;
people come in to - and exit - the lives of others;
sunsets and sunrises dictate our slumber and our waking hours, and still;
life goes on...or it doesn't.

It's all a matter of who you are and/or where you are, and what you do or what others do unto you.

Make changes or stick with the status quo, it's all up to you.
