Well, it would have required driving to Home Depot to purchase another sheepskin head for the application. Between gas and the price of the pad, and the fact that it was after ten PM by the time the third coat dried past the tacky point (and HD was closed), I was ready to call it a night. I guess I can always wish I had put down a fourth layer.
I can have the carpenter back in about five days to finish the wall, install the range, hook up the lights and the wall plugs and put in the cabinets flanking the stove (and their countertops). Happy, happy, happy!

Then you can have your friends and family over for potluck!! How's Karl?
And don't think I won't, lady. Of course, we'll have to make it a weekend so you can make it! :)
Karl is doing wonderfully well, thank you for asking. The worst side effect (from the med he is on) began right after we got him home and started the regimen (3/day), but abated after a day. We've found that a steady diet of protein-laden meals with the med, yogurt at least once a day, and lots of liquid seems to do the trick.
If the diarrhea had persisted, it would have meant stopping the pills and waiting for the 'trouble' to end on its own, then restarting the meds at 2/day (hoping the diar didn't begin again). So, VERY thankful he is doing well.
The pain in his chest, the swelling around his heart, the infection in the pericardium and that muscle seems to be a ghost, and we will hear soon if there is any long-lasting damage to his heart.
