Can't quilt.
Can't write on paper.
Can't handle sitting on damp-feeling furniture. Ick!
We've finally crossed that weather line-in-the-sand from winter-to-spring, but it seems as though we crossed right over spring and landed smack dab in the throes of summer. The temperatures never really settled on anything too seasonally springlike here in the northern mid-west, and it hasn't been any too normal in other weather-related ways, either.
But the whole weather powerstruggle of winter/summer/winter/spring/winter/winter/something/summer has finally erupted into (apparently) summer. [heavy sad sighing]
There's been an abundance of rain, which could be a good thing if it fell over a period of time instead of all at once. But, our waterways are in desperate need of recouping what has been lost over time, so here in MI we'll take what we can get.
P.S. - if somebody reading this knows the person in charge of the heavenly earth thermostat, please pass on the word that I wouldn't be opposed to having the temperatures set on the low end of the summer spectrum for the remainder of June, July, August and September. Too much heat with all this rain is just sticky, tacky, icky in a house with no AC. Thanks!
