Truck update

Andy phoned around noon yesterday to say he was scrubbing the deliver-the-truck-to-him-and-he-will-bring-Brian-home-mission for the day. No explanation, just no resolution...as is normal with the little brother.

His new plan: we drive the vehicle down to his place on Saturday (today), and then go from there. Don't even get me started on his half-ass attempt to load the truck on a mini tow-behind trailer Thursday evening. Besides the whole he-began-everything-too-late-in-the-day-to-begin-with (because something else stupid happened on the way to the forum), suffice to say that some strap or connector came loose or broke and allowed the towed truck to become lodged over the trailer in such a way that the wheels had to be removed from the trailer (in the dark - on a busy roadway), and the towed truck then removed carefully and driven back home after hours of goofing and whatever, prior to getting the truck loaded on the trailer in the first place.

OMGosh!

Further truck update: Finally got the beast down to Andy's neck of wherever it is he lives, and it was not the most direct trip. With no room in the driveway, and virtually no parking left on the street, he thinks he will simply drive it back and forth to one of his storage facilities to work on. Hopefully, the deed will be accomplished in short order (he figures by Tuesday - ha! Brian's poor jeep remained parked over the ditch in our front yard for three weeks before Andy ever decided to return one of our calls and admit he couldn't finish/fix its troubles), and the return will have to be worked out. Between Brian's work and school schedule (and shuttling Karl to his classes and tutoring sessions) it will be interesting, to say the least.

Fingers crossed, expletives on hold, happy thoughts all around.
