Karl was telling me that the German's hold some sort of interest or celebratory significance for the eleventh day of the eleventh month, but that 2011's 11th of November seems to make it all the sweeter.
I've noted a number of movies and games are utilizing "eleven-eleven-eleven" [explosive announcer voice used here] as their advertising campaign crux....big deal. If your movies/games were any good, they would be able to stand on their own merit upon any release date.
Furniture dealers, car dealerships, vendors of all sorts, are jumping on the one-day-only bandwagon today, and I am tired of hearing it.
Yes, it's a cool number anomaly, and I am keenly aware that it will be another 100 years before it happens again, but really? Does it require ticker tape parades and newspaper accolades?
