Another saying used quite a bit here, in the "mitten state," regarding the weather is: If you don't like the weather, wait a minute and it'll change" (or...."turn around and look the other way"). Either one is appropriate, and they are fairly interchangeable. Take your pick.
Yesterday was sunny; beautiful, warm (relatively speaking for February) and a 360* change from today's offering. Woke up to grey, grey, grey cloudy skies, which began leaking snow around eight or so. By nine a-m, the ground was white and and the accumulation was noticeable on everything. A healthy frosting of white had covered all of the green/brown-green lawns and flowerbeds, and the snow didn't stop until around one this afternoon.
Now, it's very apparent that while still cold, the temps have warmed to above freezing, because the dripping from the gutters has begun.....again!
Ah, Michigan. Land of conundrums and inconsistent contradictions.
The truly oddest part of all of this is still (to me) how I felt so dreary and morose yesterday, even with all of the sunshine and such, and today I am feeling a bit perkier - despite the overcast and such. How does that work?
Whatever your weather, and however the day is progressing, I hope your mood is superlative and that your outlook is sunny!
